Arriving at Heron Island

Heron Island is a true coral-cay with bright blue waters and a coral reef at your door step. The island is a national park and a nature mecca! In just 3 days, we saw an incredible amount of wildlife - lots of birds, manta rays, mother turtles laying eggs and hatchlings racing to the sea, beautiful tropical fishies and harmless baby shovelnose sharks.

100 000 squawking noddy terns nest in Heron's trees before migrating to Siberia!

Looking for clams, starfish and sea cucumbers on a reef walk.

You can walk around the whole island in less than an hour.

Sigh...How can I get more time off to play?

If only we had the funds to stay longer!

Please....Can we move here?

The unicornfish.

Who painted this coral purple?

The stunning clown trigger fish.
